Gracias a Dios I made it on time, even early, with luggage in hand! I arrived on Sunday around 12, and after the first day I already felt like I had been here a week! And that is a good thing too. The girls at the Promise House are very welcoming and loving. However, they keep trying to feed me. I´m a girl who knows how to eat, but apparently not enough!!
Everything is going well at the centers. The first couple days I really had no clue what was expected of me or what to do. Nadalia is an Orphan Helper´s staff member that helps out at the detention center. I bring a lesson or a chapter from the Bible and she helps to explain and teach the girls.
My favorite phrase in spanish is sloooow down, what and I don´t know that word hahaha.
Tomorrow I am going to prepare a lesson for the ninas at the orphanage. Pray that God would speak to them, through me and His word.
Dios le bendiga,
Lauren
